Role: Field Service Technician
Location: Lititz, PA
Duration: Full-Time
Description:
Candidate will travel to service primarily Vertical Form Fill and Seal packaging machinery.
Related packaging machinery will also be serviced at times as well.
Travel is comprised of approximately 50-60% day trips and 25% overnight.
The Technician will utilize hand and measurement tools as well as a laptop/software to communicate with, troubleshoot and repair machinery.
Candidate will install new machinery and train individuals to operate machinery correctly.
He or she will represent the company standards with the highest integrity and responsibility.
Candidate will also work at the company headquarters located in Lititz, PA when not traveling.
It is at this location where the candidate will be trained extensively.
Duties include but not limited to remanufacturing and assembling of machinery; building and testing electrical enclosures, fabricating, welding and general shop work. All of these activities will involve some degree of training.
Candidate will also assist with set up and demonstration of new machinery once fully trained.
Requirements:
Formal electrical, electronic or mechanical training.
Travel in North America is comprised of approximately 50-60% day trips and 25% overnight.
Experience utilizing Allen Bradley software products are a plus. Experience with Omron CX One a plus.
Machining and fabricating experience a plus.
Must have strong communication, interpersonal skills and be able to work independently. Must have top notch customer service skills and be able to teach others.
Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
Produce timely and detailed service reports.
Must be able to work flexible hours including overtime and embrace fluid schedule changes.
Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
